ABOUT
At the beginning of high school, college + a career were my only focus. Even a year ago, I wouldn't have even imagined any other route than college. I would have never thought of myself as ever going on a mission trip, nonetheless calling off school to live in another country where I will be known as a missionary. But life is different now, life is new.
Later this year I will be leaving my home in Georgia, where I have lived for most of my life; I will be moving 4000 miles away for 9 months to live in a country I've never been to, immersed in a culture + language that I'm completely unfamiliar with, living with people that I've never met -- all of it in efforts to reach the unreached, the people that I am called to serve.
As far as I'm concerned, this will be the pattern for the rest of my life-- I'll never experience the comfort of stationary living again. Why? Because Jesus got a hold of me.
Because His perfect sacrifice covered it all + with His crimson blood, I was washed white, I was made new (John 3:16). Because He captured me in the moment where I was shattered into a million pieces + instantly I was made whole (Psalm 147:3). Because He left the 99 to find me + bring me home (Luke 15:4).
I could go on for the rest of time but I'll start here, by saying that He is good, His love is perfect + I will serve Him for the rest of my days no matter the cost. According to His will, I will go as He charged in Matthew 28:19-20 saying, "'Go, therefore, and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.'"
If The Lord allows me, I will go until my days run out or until The Great Commission itself has been fulfilled, because I believe that it can be fulfilled in this lifetime.
